Audax entries
All our entries are done through Entryninja and by entering you agree to the following.
Consent
I, the undersigned, accept that I consider myself on a private excursion and that the organisers are responsible only for providing a route and time checks, and will rely on my own arrangements in the event of failure to complete the course. I accept that the organisers will not be held responsible for any accidents caused to me or by me to a third party. I agree to abide fully with the regulations for the event. I note, in particular, that I am responsible for ensuring that my machine complies with current Road Traffic Act Regulations and is in a roadworthy condition. I have read the rules and regulations relating to these events and agree to them.
Parental consent
This is required for entrants under 18 years of age who must be accompanied at all times by an adult participant. Parents should note that routes cannot always avoid trafficked roads and may cover high and exposed ground. Some routes are a severe test of stamina and cycle control. They should also be aware that, unlike normal cycle runs, there is no leader as such. Entrants must consider themselves as being on a private excursion and rely on their own arrangements in the event of failure to complete the course. Responsibility for roadworthiness is that of the entrant.
Submit
By submitting my entry I confirm that I have read the rules and regulations relating to these events and agree to them. Events held under the regulations of Audax Randonneurs of South Africa, Affiliated to Audax Club Parisien / Randonneurs Mondiaux.

A couple of friendly reminders below.
Private excursion
Audax rides must be considered private excursions and you are merely provided with a route to follow. You ride the route entirely at your own risk, are responsible for your own safety and to make your own arrangements in the event that you have any mechanical or medical problems.
Entry fees
Audax SA is a non profit organisation and entry fees reflect this. Events under 600km in distance should be around R150 each and those of 600km and above at R200. For this you get a printed brevet card to be signed, a route (sometimes even in gpx format or a link to plotaroute or RWGPS for your own download), homologation of your ride and a medal if selected.
Brevet cards
Please fill out your card properly, sign it and hand it in at the end. Please ensure that your card is signed at the controls. Medals are only distributed after homologation has been completed.
Covid-19 note
Lockdown regulations and times may impact our events. Please arrive early to allow time for Covid-19 protocols and a briefing. Maintain distancing at check in and at the start. Please ensure that you wear a mask or buff at all times as required by said regulations, except while engaged in vigorous exercise. Please self-assess your health before leaving home and don’t come if you have any of the known symptoms, or have been exposed to thereto.
Safety while cycling
You are entirely responsible for your own safety. The organisers provide no support of any kind on the route. Take note that much of the route takes place on narrow roads. For safety we recommend that you ride in single file. Only ride two abreast where it is safe to do so and never ride more than two abreast.
Important
Please ensure that your equipment is in good working order. Stick to the route – you are not permitted to choose your own route between controls, you must follow the route provided. If you need to withdraw for any reason, please notify us. The number to call will be on your brevet card. Support vehicles are only allowed at the controls and not on the route. Please familiarize yourself with our rules.
